01 • THE BOTTOM LINE

Students are turning to AI :(

In this day and age it is really easy to take the easy way out. 7/10 students say they rely on generative AI to help with their schoolwork. 48% say their critical thinking skills have deteriorated since they started using AI.
Our task was to create a prototype that would help students not fall into the trap of using AI. We also needed to consider the professors' side, as most professors are not trained in the realm of AI and cannot spot it as well as students would be able too.

02 • RESEARCH

What do our users want?

Did you know that 7/10 students say they rely on generative AI to help with their schoolwork?

03 • PAWGRESS

We created Pawgress, an interactive (and cuter) way to complete work

Our solution is Pawgress, a gamified screen pet that supports students while they work on assignments. Instead of writing essays for students, your Pawgress pet sits beside them on the screen.  It’s a small interactive companion that helps guide the learning process.
Research shows that gamification increases motivation and engagement in learning. A study published in the National Library of Medicine found that elements like points, rewards, and progress systems encourage students to participate more and stay focused on tasks.
